How to Enable Developer Mode on the P1S / P1P
Here’s a step-by-step to enable Developer Mode. These steps assume your printer is on a recent firmware version that supports the feature (check the firmware download page for your model).
See Bambu Official Documentation
Step 1: Update Firmware
-
-
Go to Settings > Firmware and ensure you are running the most up to date firmware version.
-
If you run a very old version, you may need to update incrementally.
-
Step 2: Enable LAN-Only Mode
-
-
Go to Settings > LAN Only Mode. Enable LAN only mode. Enter your Printer’s IP address and Access Code in FlowQ.
-
Step 3: Enable Developer Mode
-
-
On the settings screen. Scroll down to Developer Mode and enable it.
-
Accept any disclaimer that “you assume full responsibility for actions taken in Developer Mode.”
-
Reconnecting Your Printer to Bambu Studio (Not necessary to use FlowQ)
Once Developer Mode is enabled, you may still want to be able to send prints via Bambu Studio on your local Wifi.
These steps are not necessary if you only plan to send prints via FlowQ. From here, just finish entering your printer’s information in the FlowQ dashboard and you can start printing.
If your printer automatically reconnects, you do not need to do anything.
In Bambu Studio
-
-
Open Bambu Studio on your computer.
-
Ensure your printer is on the same local network as your PC.
-
In Bambu Studio: go to Devices > click the Printer Dropdown > Bind with Access Code, or Bind Printer if it was previously bound.
-
Enter the printer’s IP address and the Access Code.
-
Once bound, you can slice and send print jobs directly from Bambu Studio to the printer or via FlowQ.
