Introduction

Step 1 Setup Info and Contents

Welcome to the Setup Guide for the Infinity Flow Filament Cutters. Here you will find a step by step guide on how to get started using your Filament Cutters with the Infinity Flow S1.

If you have any questions or comments feel free to reach out to us via our technical support form here.

Step 2 Insert Filament Cutter Tube

Firmly insert the inlet tube into the filament cutter. This should be a tight fit so that the tube does not work itself loose over time.

Step 3 Installing the Filament Guide

Press the filament guide onto the end of the inlet tube.

Step 4 Installing the Snap Fit Mount

Snap the mount onto the filament cutter.

Step 5 Install the Cutter on the S1

Press the cutter onto the inlet tube of the S1 so that it is fully seated. Longer S1 inlet tubes may be needed for larger spool sizes.

Step 6 Resetting the System

Before loading, the blade mechanism must be reset manually. This is done by pushing the slider up until it clicks into one of two detent positions. See our Filament Cutter User Guide here for more details.

The cutter has two detents that control how much force is needed to trigger a cut:

  • Detent 2 (Default) - Requires more force to cut. Less prone to accidental cuts.

  • Detent 1 (Sensitive Mode) - Requires less force to cut. Easier to trigger

** If the cutter is cutting too often or without any visible obstruction, switch to Detent 2.

** If the printer can not activate the cutter while in Detent 2, try Detent 1.

Step 8 Loading Filament

To load filament, simply feed it into the Filament Cutter until the S1 detects and begins loading. Hold the inlet tube to prevent an accidental cut.
